Today is the day I am concluding my green journey. This is the last post I will make on my green journey, so I think it is fitting to reflect on how I will continue this journey throughout my life on this Earth. Hopefully these sixteen weeks were not in vain, but rather a smaller reflection of a greater cause, that I may continue from now on.

While I may not always time my showers, write about how much I used my car during the course of a week, or calculate how much I can save on my energy bill based on the temperature of my house; I will have an increased awareness. I will think about my actions and their impact on others and on the environment each time I do something. I am confident that it is now permanently engrained in my mind to turn off appliances when I leave the house, turn off lights when I leave a room, and consider every action in its impact to others.

In response to these things, I will act in a way as to limit my consumption and impact where I can, and I hope that everyone who has read these posts and joined me on my journey will be able to do the same. As I said when I began this journey, I am not a modern, tree-hugging hippy. I am a normal person with a desire to make a difference where I can; and I firmly believe that this can be done by considering the small things in life and acting accordingly.
