I read in the GreenCupboards' Blog about how thoughtful it is to make your own valentines, so I did. And, I made them green with little messages about how much I love our world. Someone gave me several hard copies of the song "What a Wonderful World" (my favorite old song), and I turned them into valentines.

Since the first of January 2010, I've actually made a lot of headway in becoming greener. I've changed my thinking and several of my ways. I often say that this helps save our environment.

As I think about Valentine's Day and what I love, I think of little children who have brought so much joy to my life. I can easily make the connection that as I do green things and become a better environmental steward, I am making the lives of children better now and after I've climbed the green stairs to heaven.

For the sake of love for children and our earth, I wish everybody would make the effort to be greener.
