Make your own napkin holders for the holidays with a few supplies, and some things that you already have around the house.

Supplies:
-empty paper towel rolls
-paint and brush
-glue
-several colors satin ribbon
-twine

Step 1: Cut the paper towel rolls into sections (about two inches long). Paint each section with a solid color and set aside to dry for a few hours.

Step 2: After the paper towel rings are dry, cut ribbons long enough to go around the rings once. Glue the ribbon flat against each ring in the center, so that you can see the solid painted part on either side of the ribbon.

Step 3 (Optional): Paste a second, thinner ribbon over the thicker ribbon to give a multi-layer effect (if you would like to.)

Step 4: Tie a bow around each napkin holder with twine. These earthy, colorful napkin holders will definitely add color to your family feast.
